Bieži sastopama neēdama recekļveida sēne, kas aug uz koksnes. Vēsā un mitrā laikā piebriedusi,
sausā un karstā izkaltusi.
Its fruit-bodies, which are 10 to 30 cm wide,
aggregate into expanding jelly-like masses, which cover parts of dead or living trees.
In dry weather this fungus turns into crust-like structure. Spore powder is white.
This fungus grows on deciduous trees, especially rowan, from January to December in wet weather.
It is common in Latvia. Inedible.
