Ziemeļu klimakodone

English name: Northern Tooth
Deutschen Namen: Nördlicher Stachelseitling; Riesen-Stachelseitling

This tooth fungus can be up to 40 cm high and 20 cm wide. Its fruiting body has numerous white "teeth" under its caps. Spore powder is white. It grows on living maples (sometimes on other deciduous trees) from the middle of summer till fall. It is rather rare in Latvia. Inedible.

Diezgan reti sastopama lielu izmēru adatiņsēne, kas aug uz dzīvu kļavu (daudz retāk - citu lapukoku) koksnes. Neēdama.
