Amanita porphyria
Violetbrūnā mušmire

Brūnā mušmire

Amanita rubescens
Sarkstošā mušmire

Syn.: Amanita muscaria subsp. regalis
English names: Brown Fly Agaric, King Fly Agaric
Deutsche Name: Königs-Fliegenpilz

Sarkanajai mušmirei visādā ziņā ļoti līdzīga sēne, t.sk. arī tieši tikpat indīga, taču daudz retāk sastopama. Aug lapu koku un jauktos mežos augustā un septembrī, parasti pa vienai.

The diameter of this mushroom can reach up to 16 cm, and it can be as tall as 12 cm. Spore powder is white. Usually it grows alone in deciduous or mixed woods from August to September. It is rare in Latvia. Poisonous.

Divas vai pat vairāk brūnās mušmires vienuviet ir mūsu zemē visai reti vērojams skats (pavisam šeit bija kāds pusducis eksemplāru).
Two or more Brown Fly Agarics close to each other is quite a rare sight in this country (there were about half a dozen at this site).
